How To Get Amazing Summer Hair Without Using Heat!

Summer hair is a pain in the ass to style.

I for one don’t want to sit and use a hair dryer when it’s hot as balls outside.

For me spending an hour blowdrying my hair in the summer is torture especially after my recent hair debacle.

You know why?

I always wind up looking like a poodle and being drenched in so much sweat that I need another shower.

Fuck no.

So, my goal this summer was to find a hair miracle that would allow me to get great hair without using a blow-dryer.

Enter, a bevy of air-dry hair products that claim to give you frizz-free, smooth hair sans the hair dryer.

Jackpot.

I was giddy when I stumbled upon these goddess hair products.

Now don’t be fooled you’re not going to slather this stuff on and wake up with perfect TV commercial hair.

However, you will get smooth, shiny, frizz-free hair.

The best part of these new air dry hair products is there are a ton of options based on your hair type.

While I’m a huge fan of Bumble and Bumble’s Don’t Blow It Fine (H)Air Styler, I also really like Matrix’s Chill Boho Air-Dry Cream both work fabulously on every hair type.

The bonus is they smell heavenly.

Now, if you have wavy or curly hair Matrix also has air dry products specifically for your hair type.

I used to, and still kind of have wavy/curly hair. I know it sounds complicated and it actually is. But honestly, my hair is part straight, part wavy, part curly which sucks.

Anyway, I tested out Matrix’s Twisted Boho Air-Dry Cream, and it gave me enough waves to wear my hair in it’s natural without looking like Richard Simmons.

My favorite thing to do is to mix Chill Boho with the Wild Boho Air-Dry Cream which creates constant volume throughout your hair. I love it!

The ONLY reason I blow-dry my hair is for volume, so Wild Boho is like a dream come true!

Want another tip?

These products are great to throw in your beach bag and slather on after taking a dip in the ocean or pool. Your hair will look put together without looking overdone, which is major beach day faux pas.

Now you can check getting good summer hair off your to-do list.

To hear all about my recent hair debacle and believe you do listen to my podcast Pop Fizz Clink. In the episode Pity Party I bitch all about my current hair issues – you’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll be entertained.

What are your summer hair styling tips? Do you skip the blow-dryer in the summer?

xo, Lara
